6/11/06 - Updated Discipline Guidelines from MCSSA Board Meeting of 5/3/06. Key revisions were to bring clarity to the accumulated penalty points for teams on probation and minor revisions in the penalty points for send-off offenses (red cards).




2. Referee abuse will not be tolerated. Respect for the Referee's must be granted by players, teams, and spectators during MCSSA matches. Players booked prior, during, or after play will be addressed by the DC and discipline arbiter and can result in suspensions and fines even if a card isn't shown during play.

Our constitution (on the About MCSSA home page), though old (1993) also remains a helpful reference for discipline policies. See especially By Laws Sections 3.7 and 3.8

Highlights of the menu file below are:
* Red Card for Violence, Abusive Language/Gestures, or Serious foul - automatic suspension for one game;
* Assaults/fights with another player - minimum suspension of three games;
* Striking/touching a referee - minimum suspension for remainder of season plus one year;
* Injuring a referee - suspension for life, and possible leagal action.
